Thanks to the CAGE LOCK technology in the rear derailleur, the removal and installation of the rear wheel and the chain assembly are faster and easier than ever. Simply push the cage forward (to release the chain tension) and lock.
Roller Bearing Clutch
The TYPE 2 rear derailleur was developed for the X0 and X9 product families and offers maximum drive stability - even on murderous and highly demanding terrain. Thanks to Roller Bearing Clutch technology, the SRAM TYPE 2 puts an end to shaky rear derailleurs and beating chains without sacrificing precision.
The X-ACTUATION technology specially developed for SRAM 1X ensures precise and constant shifting operations along the entyre 10-42 tooth cassette.
The parallelogram design of this rear derailleur limits the movement along the horizontal axis, eliminates the so-called "ghost-shifting" and reduces the shifting force at the same time. For faster and more precise shifting, the large offset of the upper pulley ensures a constant chain distance in each gear.
X-SYNC 1X chainrings from SRAM ensure maximum performance and durability. The long SRAM X-SYNC tooth edges grip the chain earlier than traditional triangular teeth. The sharp and narrow tooth profile as well as the rounded inclined edges support the chain guide. To provide the best possible performance even on muddy terrain, the X-SYNC chainrings have recesses for removing dirt and mud from the inner chain links and rollers. The X-SYNC chainrings manufactured in Germany are an important part of the 1X drive from SRAM.
