Speed does not depend on pure speed, but on perfect speed. It's about knowing the right line and mastering it flawlessly with complete confidence. The new SRAM Guide RS offers precise fingertip control with a proven 4-piston caliper and innovative SwingLink technology for a more positive contact point and higher braking performance. A light and precise addition to your SRAM drive that makes you even faster. Now with the world champion S4 caliper with Bleeding Edge and Heat Shield technologies.
Bleeding Edge The Bleeding Edge technology allows fast and easy bleeding of the brakes. Thanks to the new fluid channel and the newly designed vent, the fluid can be pumped more easily through the brake calliper. A special adapter can be placed on the vent and seals the system to prevent air and fluid loss.
Expandable Bladder SRAM's new brake lever design includes a new bubble shape that regulates and reduces air bubbles. The bladder is specially shaped to pump air out of the lever and transport the liquid exactly where it is needed. The result is improved back pressure relief for reliable and constant braking performance.
Compatible with MatchMaker and MMX With Matchmaker you save weight and space on your handlebar. Matchmaker accommodates Avid brake handles, SRAM trigger shifts and various RockShox adjustment knobs in the form of a lightweight and neat clamp - a dream come true for all handlebar space savers worldwide.
PiggyBack Reservoir The brake fluid reservoir in SRAM's current lever design is designed for optimum performance and easy handling. The PiggyBack reservoir provides a simple and safe solution for controlling the brake fluid and also allows the levers to be mounted on both sides - so you can swap your levers on the handlebars and brake as easily as on a motorcycle.
Grip width adjustment The fit and ergonomics of the brake lever is a very personal matter. The riders have individual positioning preferences as well as unique hand sizes and finger lengths. With the grip width adjustment the lever is very easy to adjust - for maximum control with just one finger.
SwingLink When you pull a new SRAM brake lever, you immediately notice the difference because it has a shorter free travel and an optimised actuation of the brake pads. The new cam design requires a shorter lever travel to push the brake pads towards the brake disc. That's nice, but for perfect braking performance you need more than just power. They need control. Many brake systems offer a shorter free travel - but at the expense of modulation. SwingLink solves this problem with its special cam shape. When the brake pads touch the brake disc, the force is modulated and the "stagnant" feeling is avoided. This creates the perfect balance between power and precision.
Timing Port Closure Thesynchronisationopening of a hydraulic brake is the connection between the reservoir and the main cylinder bore. When the lever is used, a cup cuff passes through this area and closes the opening, putting pressure on the system. SRAM's new TPC Plus system for closing the synchronisation port features durable seals and an ultra-soft cylinder bore surface for reliable and consistent braking performance.
