The system impeller impresses with the optimal mixture of Exalith and Maxtal as well as an unbeatable price/performance ratio. The composition of Mavic's Ksyrium Pro Exalith rims with a 24 mm high rim profile and a width of 19 mm designed for wire/folding tyres form the basis for low inertia. In addition, the specially tuned Mavic Yksion tyres are an ideal addition and make the Ksyrium Pro Exalith the top wheelset for competition. Ksyrium Pro Exalith rims consist of Exalith 2-coated rim flanks and a lightweight Maxtal aluminum rim, which provides up to 18 percent shorter braking distance in both wet and dry conditions. Due to the special material properties, the Ksyrium Pro Exalith rims have less wear and a longer service life. The aluminium brake surface has a rougher surface than standard aluminium rims and according to Mavic this coating is designed for 20000 km. It is recommended to use the special Mavic brake pads to get the maximum performance of the Exalith coating. The Ksyrium Pro Exalith wheelset also features Zicral Aero spokes. 18 on the front wheel and 20 on the rear wheel.
Mavic's intelligent tire system with the new Mavic Yksion tire not only increases aerodynamics, but also gives you high ride comfort with good puncture safety thanks to the 127 TPI thread density.
