The Niak expands on the concept of very lightweight yet remarkably strong three-season tents that Hilleberg introduced with the one-person Enan. The Niak is the perfect lightweight tent for two users and for solo hikers a grandiose space miracle. It has only one entrance with an apse parallel in the lying direction, yet the inner tent can accommodate two people. This makes it a little less comfortable, but it is good for parents with a child or anyone who goes on tour with the dog. This makes the Niak all the more comfortable and lightweight for all those who travel alone in the milder seasons.
As with all Yellow Label models, Hilleberg uses the very lightweight Kerlon 1000 outer tent material for the Niak and the standard DAC NSL 9 mm poles for the Yellow and Red Label categories. The simple construction of two intersecting arches follows the Unna from the Red Label category and guarantees stability and quick assembly. The Niak has an entrance with an apsis that can be rolled completely to the side so that fresh air can pass through the inner mesh tent door on warm days. In addition, the cut back outer edges contribute to constant ventilation and keep the Niak in shape.
Low weight is the quintessence of the Yellow Label tents from Hilleberg. These models are specifically adapted to warmer climates and snow-free conditions and are equipped with large, open mesh areas on the inner tent and shorter outer tent walls. This ensures excellent ventilation in warm weather, but carries the risk of reduced thermal comfort in colder conditions. The Yellow Label models are perfect for long or short tours in protected terrain.
